I first discovered Paleo about a year and a half ago when I came to the realization that my desk job was turning me into out-of-shape bum. I'm a programmer by trade, so sitting for long periods of time in contorted positions with little exercise is part of my job description. The consequences of my inactive lifestyle was an enormous amount of back and neck pain along with a general lack of energy. What might seem obvious to some took me a while to come to terms with. I felt like my body was literally wasting away in front of my computer. Thanks to a buddy, I got turned on to the Paleo Diet and regular Yoga practice as a way to offset my cubicle lifestyle. I started about a year and a half ago and haven't looked back since.
